One thing I love about Asian Weddings is how busy it gets, the amount of people, colours, and food that involves around a tight schedule. So much so, that most of the couples shots are tend to done in the evening of the actual wedding day. With so many people attending, the only place in Peterborough that can hold such vast amount of people was at the Gladstone Park Community Centre.
Shah and Yasmeen understood the intensity involved and based around the way I shoot, I still try to capture as much photojournalism as I can in order for them to enjoy the day amongst family.
With Muslim Weddings, the amount of formal shots required is quite similar to that of an Oriental Wedding. However, after the ceremony, when it comes to the father giving the bride away, this is a very sad time for the immediate family, it’s quite of an emotional setting. Here I’ve managed to capture the tender moment between father and the bride (more to come).
